Before your appointment to see our team to have a legal will drafted, you may wish to consider the following issues:

The full names of your beneficiaries, executors and trustees;
What percentage of your estate each beneficiary is to receive;
The extent of your assets held jointly or solely, including details of a Family Business/Company operated by you;
Details of your Superannuation;
If you intend to exclude any potential member of your direct family you should be prepared to discuss this with us at your first meeting;
Should you consider the creation of a Testamentary Trust? This legal tool may protect your estate from challenges by persons who may have an interest in your estate as creditor or otherwise. A Testamentary Trust can also be an effective tax planning tool. A Letter of Direction can assist your trustees to guide them with your thoughts and wishes after your death. Should clients require documents to be held in safe custody, the terms of that arrangement will need to be agreed in writing, when the documents are deposited with us. Such arrangements are dependent on storage availability.
